What Does Portland Cost You — and What Did You Get?
Answer three questions and this page estimates what the voter-approved programs bill your household this year, using each administering government's own published rate schedule — then shows the councilors your district elected and how they voted on the most recent verified roll-calls.

Your privacy. The estimate is worked out in your browser: income, filing status, rent-or-own, and assessed value stay on this page and are never sent anywhere — the site's anonymous counters (see the footer) never see them. The address box is optional and is used only when you press Look up: it goes to our lookup service, which passes it to PortlandMaps (City of Portland / Multnomah County) to find your district and assessed value. That service stores no address — its only record is an anonymous daily count that a lookup happened and which district number came back. Your district choice is remembered in this browser's local storage so the page can greet you with it; clearing your browser data clears it.

What Portland's government actually does — sourced, dated, verified.
This site tracks where voter-approved tax money goes, how councilors vote and show up, and where council time is actually spent. Every figure links to its primary source and carries an “as of” date. Nothing attributed to a named person appears here until a human editor has verified it against the record.
